Anomalous forbidden zone? upper left corner

There is nothing in the upper left hand corner of my map, but the occupied count is one anyway? I have seen the same forbidden square on another CRPL map. Does this happen to lots of CRPL maps? What causes it?

What? Do you mean the little triangle of no creeper? That's just how the graphics work.

No, but that triangle is weird too.

I figured it out. It has nothing to do with CRPL. If a guppy base is built, the upper left corner is forbidden. If the guppy air unit is not deployed, the upper left corner is reforbidden on load. deploying the guppy does not seem to unforbid either.

Edit: it does not seem to be necessary for the guppy pad to be built
