Author: MS
Size: 123x123

Desc:
Inspired by the game Monopoly. Destroy the "hotel" (inhibitor) on Park Place to win. May take as long as a game of Monopoly. Hint: Keep an eye on the height of the creeper in the Boardwalk/Park Place area. If it reaches 500, it will leak into the void.

Woah!

Awesome effort dude - looks superb.

Can't wait to play.
Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.

It does look like you put a lot of work into this.
But... you forgot totems.
By the time you'll get around to the totems, you won't need them. If there were some closer to the start...

Just one single mortar somewhere near the start would have been well received. I'm currently stuck trying to take New York Avenue and I'm about to just give up.

If you're going to put a Forge at the start, you should at least put some totems close to it.

I love the map and I want to play it but it's unplayable in its current form. I have the idea to copy the map down, add a totem (or two) to the front line, and give a mortar tech near the jail.

What's the etiquette on situations like this? Would it be bad form for me (or anyone else) to make these edits and re-upload it to CS?

I thought the way it was placed worked fairly well, actually. Even though there aren't totems, the map does provide an aether pack at the very beginning so that the forge is immediately useful, and then you get another one about a third of the way around the board, and finally hook up with the totems at the end if you need a little extra boost for the final push. Just finished it, and I thought it was very fun, even if it did take longer than the maps I usually go for.

It's slow going but it is playable.

There's definitely a hump around St. James Place. One mortar to help there would have been great.
Pacific Avenue was also a bit tough but just took time to wear down the creeper.

Overall, a great effort. Thanks!

Feel free. Refer to the map and make clear it's a copy, how it's changed, why and it isn't a problem. I've done it a few times myself if I thought a map could be improved. Usually I also give the courtesy of completing the original map before I modify it - just in case the design had a good hidden feature.

Thanks Karsten. I just uploaded my edited version.  :)
