While not a terrible map, especially for a first map ever made, you might want to make maps that have a little more content in the future. This one is a pretty straightforward map, and because of the default terrain theme it seems a little dull. A bit bigger map that's not flat and has, let's say 3 emitters and a spore tower, might make for a more interesting gaming experience. I made a short tutorial on map-making, it's in the guides section on steam.
