Argh, another one that I'm just too slow at.  The spores expand faster than I can build up power for my beams.

Don't worry about the digitalis too much in the first few minutes, just get some mines and your sprayers up, helps to land in a corner. You can even let the digitalis creep into the center area, the sprayers will keep the creeper off your back long enough to get your base up and running. Then you can build your two cannons to keep out the digitalis, and start building reactors. Literally only build the minimum number of beams you need to hold off the early spores and keep spamming reactors as fast as possible. I got killed the first time but by keeping up my reactor spam and building more beams I was able to stabilize in the center area.

It's kind of a slog to get through after that, not sure if there's a trick to get rid of creepy-heavy digitalis before you have late-game upgrades but you have to be careful about which emitters you take out.

I found a slightly different start that let the sprayers protect a few more squares and spam enough reactors.  As usual, once there's a decent foothold the rest of the map is pretty much routine.  A bit trickier than usual because you don't dare hit those big digitalis fields.  I also found the strafers basically useless because they don't behave well enough and will fire on the digitalis even if ordered to strafe a line.

Looking at the times it seems to me that somehow the friendly bugs must be exploitable somehow but it looks like none of us can figure it out.  There just don't seem to be enough to overcome the creeper.

I can't open it up right now, but can you build snipers to start with? Maybe an early landing near one of the four spots and early snipers let you start in a corner. Dunno

You can't land in a corner, there's digitalis there that you don't want to kill.

And even without that I found that the AC pile stabilized a bit over 100 when the runners were being insta-killed and there was no opposition.  That's not enough to push against the various emitters around it.  All the weapons tech is in the more central areas, that has to be the intended start.

Nice one, thanks for the map!

I've always been a bit in plus for energy, HQ centered, one cannon left, one right, sprayers one on top, one on bottom. I built beams as less as needed, reactors as hell, then one reactor north in the power zone, guarded by two sprayers and mortars, another two reactors north-east and north-west, beam spam.
same thing on south.

No need for me to touch the digitalis fields, I nullified them all at once in the end when all other work was done. Not a speed run, I like to build with terps :)
