Built to function as a long-range destroyer, the Mastadon comes well armed and is capable of moderately high speeds. Its distinctive 'horns' house sensitive detection equipment, but can also serve as a last line of armour should the core come under threat. While capable of extended solo deployments, it is not self sufficient as it lacks a Guppy or a Laythe to provide resupply.
