Hi - at first I thought that this map behaves like the title says, it took me a while to figure it out. *thumbup*

However, I didn't need the Berthas, after gaining enough force-power (rate 5 and range 4) it was an easy approach from the right.

I don't see why it's so impossible.

I didn't need any of the tech on the right and it certainly seems hard to get, considerably harder than nailing the inhibitor with the  tech I had.

Pushing up the right the two runner nests yield anti-creeper.  One cannon to keep the digitalis in check, a few snipers to keep killing the runners and that part of the map is contained.  I put a cannon and mortar to bear on the main area, with the digitalis on the right edge dead and good tech I finally got some cannons on the wall.  Cannons & snipers there and he was on the run.  Walk up the sides, kill all the runner nests and the spores, then cannons on the wall can clear the lower path around the inhibitor.  I'm sure it would also have been possible to come down from the top at that point.  Blow the inhibitor, a relay on the rightmost dead runner nest, then the cannons can clear enough on the right to connect to that relay.  Since there's no more source of creeper it's easy to get rid of it and claim the tech for the win.

I thought that "simply impossible" has one more meaning - "not too simple" or "not possible win very simply...".

Word use explanation
"Simply" has two meanings that I have encountered. The most literal means "straightforwardly, not complex"; the other is used as "simply X", in order to indicate that "X" is the simplest way to express the point.

Impossible is a combining "im-" (meaning "not") attached to "possible".

The title of the map therefore indicates "to summarise: not possible"

There is also a method (here, at least, although I understand this to be cultural) of strongly communicating a point by stating the opposite as if it were what you meant to say. Under that idea, the title would be interpreted as "this map is trivial". This depends heavily on those who are reading or listening knowing you well enough to recognise the reversal.

No need to contain the right side.

Bickforded the right runner nests, didn't have to do anything about it afterwards since the AC from the nests would exceed what came out of emitters or dieing runners - just don't snipe them.

No need for much tech.

Just two anti-digi cannon, multiple anti-creeper cannons to mop up the spill, and a handful of mortars from behind to keep the creeper from the runners from flooding your shooting stand. Again, don't snipe, the runners just explode into too much creeper - just contain them with anti-digi cannons and you're fine.

Eventually,

flatten the small area below the inhibitor and put a nullifier there.

The most annoying part of this was that killing the inhibitor

also killed the bickfording nests

and I had to place mortars

to clean up the right area myself. Took me a moment to figure out how to extend the network to the right

but a relay on a PZ

was an easy enough solution.

So... maybe impossible unless you already have your bag of little tricks.
