Large map is cool, but the lack of ERNs is crippling. Silos are kind of cool, but they definitely need to not prevent mortar fire and would benefit from targeting (either area targeting or like air units).

It's a huge map without ERNs so the whole process of clearing it ends up being tedious, with a ton of just waiting for things to build or weapons to move. Slow build speed and no range upgrades mean you have to move your weapons all the time, but your move speed is also slow, so either way you wait. Meanwhile you have no fire rate upgrades so taking territory requires several times more weapons than normal. Large map also means lag which means real-time waits end up being longer. Large maps are cool, and lag is an ok price, but without ERNs the whole thing is painful.

As for the missile silos: between auto-targeting and playing poorly with mortars, they end up being extremely niche. The auto-targeting means they fire across the whole map, which means they're an energy drain that doesn't accomplish anything until you at least take over one island. Meanwhile mortars won't fire anywhere that the silos are actively firing on, but the missiles take tens of seconds to land which is plenty of time for the creep to eat through all your mortars that are blocked from firing (which would normally let them protect themselves). I did eventually use them to soften up the second island, but had to turn them off again because I lost another batch of mortars.

If I had to advise my past self it'd be this: don't build silos, spend the excess energy on airforce. I'd advise 4x speed but once the game starts lagging it won't really help.
