Nice. I like when there is some space for error, when you are free to build, fail and rebuild.
I'm not sure what was the purpose of initial "puzzle", but it might scare away people right at start, even though the rest of the map forgive mistakes and it is not possible to screw yourself other thatn by destroying your own buildings on void.
Also I believe that it is a bit hacky that I was able to

destroy some collectors to get some extra distance to the final chain. I actually never used those buildings near the forge.

I totally agree about the collectors. It is a mistake in the overall concept of the game, I think. One should be able to decide how many more items you cane build, after placing same items as the starting point. For example - if I place one collector in the map, and only want you to be allowed to build one more, then I have to allow 2 collectors in the unit limits. Of course, if you delete the first one, you can then built 2 - which as you said, is hacky.

Or there is something I don't understand.
