Utterly stumped.  I was able to survive for a while by moving to the pad to the north but eventually the spores got through.

Ah, much, *much* easier than the previous one.
Very similar, but without the initial crunch.

To Loren Pechtel.
In this one, you DO NOT need to evacuate your command. The initial position is quite defensible.
Pay attention to levels (and terp a bit), to prevent creep & runner intrusion.

The spore redistribution wreaks havoc, but despite this it IS worth it to take that first tower. Immediately. And put a reactor on it!
Ditto with the 1-emitter in the bottom corner. (the 3 spores just make holes, so sad:( )

Having 2 PZ reactors early on makes all the difference. Then just go fetch your berthas, and steamroller.
((steamroller in this case means: kill all emitters. DONT kil any more spore if you can help it. and leave a trail of Berthas guarded by beams, powered by reactors in that convenient southerly 3-lane-highway.))

I would love to see a video of someone getting that Bertha pickup early. I tried several ways, but the Runners ate me alive.
Finally got the Bertha after taking out the Emitter.
Lots of good fighting and will give it another try.
