What a map!

Thank you for putting this one up

I have looked around as to what the square devices are with the "M"

Could someone explain those to me please...

Lousy time.  Great fun!!!!

Glad to hear you enjoyed the map!  The "M" is a mass driver plant.  You have to click the "M" to enable or disable mass driver production.  You must connect packets to the plant for it to work.  You can launch mass drivers from the orbital menu :)

Wow that was tough!

Well done for completing it without the AOO PH!!!!

10/10 by the way from me, really good challenge.

What's a mass orbital map?   ::) :P ??? :-X :-\ :o 8)

Forgive the "I have no idea what those things are question..."

I'm pretty certain I'm going to take some heat for this one..

If someone even has a link to some instruction, that would be great :)

And thank you D0m0nik!  I'm glad to know I did something right when I didn't know what I was
doing...  :)

GoodMorning

The "Artifacts of Odin" are one-use extremely powerful things, which are normally (without scripting) in finite or nonexistent supply and have to be gathered on-map. They can be placed in the normal map editor, if you want to try them out.

The ones available from those factories are "Mass" AoOs. Think of a dinosaur-killer impact, that makes a big crater and destroys all units and Creeper/AC in the area (but not Emitters and such things).

There are also "Convert" (Creeper becomes AC in the area) and "Freeze" (Creeper does not flow, Spore Towers do not count down) versions.

They take 25 packets to charge, and (like tech pickups) don't connect to a command node directly, so you can't grab them with flyovers.

To use them, you pick them up, then look for the buttons in the "Orbital" tab alongside the command node buttons.

Hope that helps?

Oh!  Those would have made a huge difference in the play of this game.

I will give it a try.  Thanks a ton for the explanation.  Best regards

Thanks!  Glad you liked the map :)  Definitely one of the most challenging maps I've created ;)

This WAS fun. I had to restart because I got overwhelmed the first time (seems to be happening each time I do your maps) but I've resorted to actually saving the map every now and then. Just 'cause your maps are that challenging.  ;)

And grats to PH for doing this without the AOO's (?!?!) wow! I didn't realize that'd be possible, although because of the intensity of this map I found that 25 mortars can repress the 1000 / .03 sec emitter.

Yanno, I feel bad that your maps get such low ratings. I'm not sure who's rating them that low but maybe they'll eventually realize they shouldn't try your maps at all.  I'd rate this one a 15/10 just to help balance it out if I could! Fantastic map!

Thanks for all the effort you put into this map!  ;D ;D ;D
You disagree with this sentence, don't you?
