Desc:
The year is 9 AD. Your roman fortress is under attack by a rebellion of german tribes. Hold the fort while you gather your men and then march your army though the german forest to safty. The barbarians will hide in the forest and attack your troops on the road. Do you march your troops aloong the road or do you take the fight to the barbarians in the forest?

Good lord that was grueling. Felt more like trench warfare from WW1. QQ;;; "Yes! Another place to place something--aaah it's the same thing as last time and still is missing 1 map tile $#%$#%^#. Amusing beginning, definitely got to be a massive slog after about the 20m mark for me. The bit with only allowing one nullifier was a nice touch, it made it feel different than normal. My only critique is mainly that I ended up filling half the map and placement got frustrating. If you could make terps either insanely expensive (so that you complete your first one at the ~20m mark) or somehow make them one use, that would be nice. I probably couldn't done it faster if I hadn't been lazy with using shields.

Overall worth playing.

Where is Hermann1 when you need him...

Very intense start and even later on this map doesn't suffer from its PZ-overdose.
Some totems or a bit of aether would have been nice to have and having to use dozens of nullifiers isn't fun when they're so expensive.

Greetings from The Shire!

1: In German this battle is also called "Hermannsschlacht"

I've never understood the appeal of maps with no upgrades and excessive cost and limits on nullifiers. Very interesting start, but it's going to be a long, boring and terrible slog for too long a time. I'd have played it if nullifiers were not restricted, had a normal cost and there were signs of upgrades somewhere along the line.

I wonder if CRPL could be used to make it easier to go straight for inhibitor instead of nullifying other enemies first?
