Certain death? I don't think so. If Odin was fixed it would be a different matter, of course.

I think that even if the city was fixed this would be extremely easy, seems like you've stacked a lot of mines on top of eachother, so it will take a long while before the creeper can finally reach the survival pods.

I dislike needing to feel the rush to save them(and then if you don't win you have to restart over and over). I was hoping for more of a... search and rescue mission. And the descriptions I make are always more dramatic ;)
