Starting this map: why's this map rated so low? Man, people are fickle.

Three minutes later: oh.

I don't know about the others, but I was cussing out this map pretty well.
Then I paid attention to what was the actual result of my own actions.
Then about 20 minutes later I realized that I had been ignoring the value of the PZ.
Then when I finally had a score, I saw that Alter Old had found a hidden vulnerability.
CW will drive you nuts if you take yourself too seriously.
A very well designed game and 10/10.

HA! This map plays tricks on your brain. You start the map and do some basic counting and get to 6 so you build 3-4 beams. Might as well nullify those big spore towers and get some PZ action early-on, right? And then all of a sudden you realize when you counted, that 6 to which you counted suddenly decided to go all Rogue One on you and fly over to the 10 and become an exponent, so now instead of 6, you have 10 to the power 6. After your mom comes and holds you for a bit as you sob  :'( :'( :'( , you realize you should start over and pay attention to what happens to that number you counted. Wouldn't it be nice if you could just keep those spore towers all Han Solo instead of having them Strike Back at you?  :P

These aren't the Power Zones you're looking for. You can go about your business. Move along.

Oh, what was up with the creeper in the upper left that wouldn't die until later? Am I going crazy and just didn't put enough firepower on it, or was there some sort of mod on that? Just curious.

I restarted on this but am stuck after getting that center Emitter.
Going to have to ponder the next step.

Been a while since I did this map, but maybe the strategy I mentioned in an earlier post will be helpful...? I dunno.

Lemme know if you're still stuck and I'll give it a replay. Yum's maps are the best, regardless which of his 10⁶ names he's using.  :P

I finally realized what I meant about the value of the "PZ".
If I had written PZ's back then, it would have come to me sooner.

Still SMH at Alter Old's scores from back in those days.

I've seen scores from Alter Old that I was sure were impossible, only to later see a screen shot of how the impossible was done.
This time I think it might be someone with a cheat engine building a string of Relays, laying down a Nullifier, and winning that way.
The timing would be about right for going through those steps.

Is Alter Old even around any more? I haven't seen him (or her) for years.
