Anmeso was a tad too long and boring. This may be still boring (a failing of all my maps), but at least it doesn't need to take that long.

Your maps aren't "boring" at all - I actually played this one twice since it only takes about 5 minutes (real-time) to play through it. The inhibitor certainly makes for a much shorter game, and I'm betting that someone could do it in under 10 minutes if they enjoyed that sort of thing.

The second time I tried something that I found to be very rewarding...

You can keep the left pyramid going with 4 guppies and minimal tech. Might as well use the totem while you're there.

Third time I was close to 12 min, but I think to drop under 10 you'd need to pause a good bit which I really dislike. But I do admire the masters who use pausing to pick maps apart one step at a time like chess.  ;) Now I'm just waiting for Dom to come along and cut my time in half  :P

Thanks for your kind words. I do regard myself as the arbiter of the "boring level" of my maps, though. :)

I find it interesting that you included that spoiler. Where exactly did you start then? IMHO any starting position not near the left pyramid is less optimal. But your time is much better than mine, so... :)

I started at the right pyramid... the creep seemed to be less intrusive there, so I had a bit more time to build up reactors before connecting to the power-hungry pyramids.

I've probably played fewer than 20 maps more than once. And I found yours interesting enough to try three times. So yeah, definitely not "boring". If you made them easier, perhaps. But there's enough of a threat and a variety of paths to make it better than 80% of the maps out there.

If you ever feel like making some crazy-difficult-intense maps too, that'll be totally fine with me!  ;D

Cut your time by a whopping 9 seconds Johnny on firt attempt, doubt there is much more I will improve on that, even with excessive pausing.

I built on the left side of the left pyramid, one cannon to stop the digitalis coming and then just powered North! I may try again with the East pyramid, I discounted it due to the distance but then the AOO is a lure!

Ppppht. That's not "stepping in" - that's stepping ON. They must've gone right for the freeze then built a... yanno, I dunno what they did, lol. Maybe I'll give it another try & see.  :P
