My first creeper map. Not the most difficult map, but I made a map with the things I like most: lots of spores and lots of stuff to nullify. No limits.

Nice map, but after 2 different starts, I decided it's not really going to happen - me sitting here for however long it may take to grind this out. My first start.. I made the bad, bad mistake of building a terraformer to "just smooth out a few edges... :(

Thank you for your comments. See, I may be biased since I work from home and can have CW running in the background while I work. I will work on making maps faster.
I'm old and bitter

I'm not sure I understand that. If you have to turtle, then I can understand working in the "gaps" while something accumulates or an enemy position is worn down. In the case of these maps, there is constant forward movement. But the size dictates either multifront advances which is time-consuming (of real time, since one has to pause to adjust units on each front), or concentration on one front  (which lead to very long map completion times because there is a lot of ground to cover.

Neither of these present an element of tactical danger, since it's hardly likely that established positions will be overrun and the energy dominance allows for construction of multiple Berthas to hold down any amount of creeper.

however, this is purely a personal opinion. I may even be back to take many little bites at this large cherry, and may in due time complete it. :)

Good luck and I hope you make more maps!

There's no meaningful threat here.  It's easy to get enough beams up in time for the spore threat, the creep takes a while to get to your base.

I built strafers to deal with anything that wasn't protected from the air and simply marched on the rest.  Slow but no challenge.  As I incorporated PZs into my base I put Berthas on them, by the time I reached the other corner there wasn't a dot of creeper except right near the emitters.

So, maybe a tad vindictive, over-the-top, or just wholly unnecessary ...
