Desc:
A famine styled map with 5 bases and a variety of defensive positions to chose from. Collect all the techs and destroy the inhibitor to claim victory in this chalenging defense map.

I spent a large majority of my time going after unneccesary emitters. I'm positive this map shouldn't take longer than 40 minutes once you figure out how to defend your bases. Remember to grab ALL the tech: the map doesn't end until you do. It might be easier to take out the inhibitor first though, seeing as it kills all the emitters.

I spent several months figuring out how to make a famine style map that isn't just a slog, so I'm looking forward to any feedback on how to make this maptype even better now that I finally had a playable rendition.

Well that was fun! I could probably speed it up if I gave it another run through. I found one of the biggest challenges was trying to manage the extremely limited number of collectors/relays.

OK, Who is this Jordan guy and how did he get a score of 5:54  :o

I guess he could have rushed the inhibitor or something but still :/

I knew it was possible, but I didn't do it because I hate when map creators use super-quick ways to beat the maps that aren't immediately obvious so they can smoke the highscores... It kinda feels like adding a cheatcode to your game then bragging you're the best at it.

This map is too fun to rush :) The low walls really give a good sense of insecurity, and if you defend the top base, everything has to be laid out pretty exactly.

I think I'll replay it, and I think I'll grab a few more weapons at the beginning instead of wishing I had that other #@$(&* strafer for so long.

I had the best luck by floating around two of the CC's at the beginning snapping up tech, then clearing my way from southeast to northwest. Shaved 15 minutes off (45 down to 30) by completely ignoring the top base after I snagged its tech and floated away the terps. But, I missed one of the pulse cannon techs at the beginning that last time around, so I had to clear the southwest corner too. Sigh. Not sure if I have the patience to try to beat it again!
