How do you do this, the runners just wont let me get started

Drop a CN and build a couple reactors. Then a blaster on both sides to protect against the digitalis/runners. Then build a beam weapon, then a second one, because spores will be coming soon. From there start adding more reactors.

This was a really, really hard starting map.

huh, they come too fast to do what you said. i just lose the pulse cannons, please show your map, thanks

Build a collector up top.
As soon  as it's done build a second collector up there.
As soon as that's done, build one reactor at the bottom.
Once the reactor is ready, immediately build the two cannons simultaneously.
Once they start firing you will have a foothold and can get to business.
The spores hit at 3:30 so have a beam tower ready.
