Clearly there is enough room - you just have to build carefully and not build the wrong things. Every initial space counts. Hint: The Forge is worth the space it takes up.

Edit: Replayed it, made a blunder and still shaved about 20 minutes off my first attempt time.

My score wasn't as good as Karsten here, so his strategy is certainly better, but I used shields on PZs to let me get closer in with my nullifiers and mortars.

Shields, due to their large resource requirement, is a last-ditch strategy for me. Right before I use Terps, I consider shields. :)
