Question about movement between micro rifts.

Hello all, I checked and couldn't find anything: a question about the attached level image. The drones don't attack LS, they rift between the center-top room and center-mid room rifts but never to bottom: it looks like, if their aim is bottom, they just move above a rift as if it were background. Is this because there's no free space around the bottom rift? So they cannot attack LS? Looks strange that a target would act as an hindrance to movement. Aren't drones able to move in place of an existing unit or structure?

Drones only use micro-rifts if there's another route also leading to the same goal, and since there's no 'normal' route between the drones and the LS, they don't attack it. Drones first check if there's a player structure in the same cave, they won't check for micro rifts here. After that they calculate the route towards it, then now they do use micro rifts.
