Huge thumb's up!
It took several tries to survive, but finally figuring it out really made my day.
Thanks.

EDIT:
LOL!
I'm not believing that 6 minute time until I see pictures. At that point, I was barely into my second square.

I would like to know that too, a vid would be even better to show how to do that. :D
To everyone: could you put your strategy here so I know what to improve/do for my next map?

I can't beat it in 6 minutes, but maybe my picture can show how to do it in 8:

I'm sorry, this map's just not for me. Immediately if I see that in your opening remarks you suggest I open the map in the map editor to study it, it sets the wrong tone.

Then the incessant klaxons as I fly the Ship through the creeper grates on my nerves. Also, having to guess which are to fly to next, and truly, that's what it is - either I go spend a bunch of time in the map editor, rather than playing a map, or I have to play a guessing game to figure out which quadrant to fly to next.

Yes, obviously a lot of your time and effort went into this map, and for that I salute you. But as for playability? Not in my book. The map may bug me for a while and I may come back and try it again. But for now, I'm done.

Noooo, completely forgot somethng to beat this map really fast. Please don't post that here.

You can find out everything without looking in the editor. But it's just a suggestion for anyone who can't beat it because he keeps choosing the wrong square.

I did it the hard way, as you can see from my last place score.  But if you screw up bad, it is still possible to recover and finish this map as long as you can get your techs from the upper left side early on and get the drones taken care of.  Took me many tries to just get a foot hold on this one where I didn't lose the LS.  I gave it a thumbs up, even though is was a PITA the way I wound up doing it (I got a work call once I had everything stable and wasn't giving it my full attention, and had it turned into a slug fest for me).

And as stated above, you should never have to open up the editor to win a map.  I didn't on this one, and have given up on other maps where it was suggested that you open up the editor for hints.

Great picture!
Spoiler
You must have figured out how to go from the top left down to the bottom left.
I tried that a few times (2 Makers and 2 Blasters), but couldn't quite survive.
Finally went top left, bottom right, bottom left, top right.

The old tortoise and the hare trick.
