Post by: zaphod on February 07, 2012, 06:08:22 PM
Thought I would use the names of the spaceships that were used for the Alien movies, hope they prove to be enjoyable.  Have fun

Well, I'm new to trying these challenges, but Sulaco is a definite challenge!  Good luck.  I'm interested to hear how people approach it.

Ok folks, it would appear that I have managed to find an impossible map with Sulaco Large/High.

If no one has managed to post a score for this map by 18:00 Saturday GMT, that is 7hours 48 mins from this post i will change it to a different one

It's definitely not impossible, perhaps beyond what most people will be able to do, but it's not too hard to kill off the emitter to the right before it breaks free, and with all direction building there should be more than enough room to build to take on everything else, even with the titan emitter. Perhaps a bit slow, but I've been under far worse energy constraints and beaten titans.

I might get around to finishing it sometime.

Yes but most people who play this aren't like you Kithros. I can't beat it after several attempts.

I wasn't saying it was an easy map, I was just saying that it is not an impossible map.

Oh for the love of....

Thank you!

It's been driving me nuts - my mate is a massive film buff and he's constantly casually throwing film references my way for me to try to place.

It was years before I recognised the significance of his email address - PBRStreetgang = Appocolypse Now.

It only took a few minutes to figure out he T-Shirt he sent me for my birthday - Walter Chang's Market, Perfection Nevada = Tremors.

And now, months later, I finally understand his iPhone tags - 'Sent from my iPhone Sulaco' = Aliens!

So simple now I know what I'm looking at...

Google?

Never heard of it!

Just noticed this and trying to hit the leader board. Done the 3 quickest looking maps and made 10th. Hoping to have a better go at the next one as I doubt I'll do all the maps before 12
