I'm missing something here... where do I start?  Can't get the energy and can't do anything without it.

some tips for this map

Spoiler

1. I recommend that make many blasters as much as possible and stock befor you start attack.
(because difficult to make new weapon while you attacking)

2. when you start other side of map, you can recyle used weapons

3. other side of map is good space for stock weapons.

4. if city destination was invaded, you can clean by sending blaster or mortar befor move the city.

Hi Jerdog, I didn't get a great score, but here is one way to approach the map:

Spoiler

1. Fly Odin City to the middle platform, build a Collector to get the first Tech Upgrade (i.e. +10% Energy).

2. Fly Odin City to the lower-left platform.  Carpet the area with Collectors and you will have (just) enough energy to advance against the Creeper using Blasters.  And as Bacura advises, you may need to prepare fully-charged Blasters in advance, for each assault to be successful.  For example, I built 4 fully-charged Blasters, and then moved all 4 at once to cap the first Emitter and hold the islet long enough to build a Collector to it.  The Pause feature (P key) is helpful when launching coordinated Blaster movements.

3. After you have conquered enough of the left-hand section to get all of the goodies (especially Reactor Tech), abandon it and move to the middle section.  Start from scratch (the map is appropriately named), conquer the middle section, but with Reactor Tech things will go more quickly.

4. After you have conquered enough of the middle section, abandon it and move to the right-hand section.  Conquer the right-hand section, connect and charge the Totems, and you're done.  Savor sweet Victory.

Looking back at some maps yet unplayed (failed attempts!) - found the these two 'reincarnate' by bacura.

This was fun even though it took a few more attempts, though not as diff as version 2 - with spores!

Same here.  A year ago this was really hard.  Today: no problem.
