Desc:
Fight through this asteriod belt until you find the enemy's main base. They stop you from fleeing with a Gravitational Projector in that room. Destroy it.
The start has you exposed to 3 emitters in 0 g, with no ability to get your hands on Anti-creeper until you DEAL with those 3 emitters. Grrr.
250 iron to get you started would of made this map faster.
Actually, you need only 2 blasters for defend the ridge between southern-west side of the starting asteroid. Then go right way, clear out the Creeper hanging up there and dig through the right edge of the asteroid. There you proceed a bit and you'll be able to get a lot of ore.
You start with 200 crystal energy, use it. And by the way, the emitters there are really weak. the biggest thing to deal is the Creeper that is already there at start.
@Link327 -
Another excellent map from you - thanks.
I need to get back in there and beat on it again...and I will.
Very nice concept and game play.
dbit
Well Snowmaker did it in 16 minutes, I did it in 17:30, I had about 3 minutes of mistakes plus a few of bad micromanagement. That's with the strategy of pushing left through the thin creep with blasters. Can you really get at that ore through the right? AC would make advancing with less energy possible, but in order to get at it, you have to go through thin creep anyway.
I stand by it, the rest of the map is fun, but the first bit's a slog.
well, everyone has his own tactics.
Maps 2.3 - 2.5 are already uploaded/ in progress.
2.3 and 2.4 already in mapmod space, 2.5 im playing at the moment.
Im Happy that you like the biggest part of the map, im just putting together what im thinking of. I create a story and build some missions around it. 2.6 and the following few ones will have two parts each, like 2.6.A and 2.6.B
How that's possible I will mention at 2.5 and reveal at 2.6.A :D
My strategy started with clearing reactor space as quick as possible. Had one major oops - killed off the gateway and all emitters, only to find I'd somehow missed one subcell of creeper back in the middle. Building a new blaster to kill it proved faster than moving one back to it but it cost me time. ::)
