Just gotta love the fine distinction between "unpossible" and "impossible." Accidental or not, it is still noteworthy. :)

Speed and the proper targeting of the pre built conversion bombs are very important. Also make sure you save as many of the scattered pre built blasters as possible. (The blasters and launcher in/near the little shield box can't be saved; I was able to get the rest into position to defend against the regular strength drones.

Hmm.  Do you need to try to take out some generators early on, too?
Where do you make your stand with the blasters?  whatever i try i just get absolutely swamped.

Best to kill emitters and especially gateways as soon as possible. When I hit just the right spots with the initial set of conversion bombs getting the emitters and gateway among the small asteroids was pretty easy.

Aim for the really dense areas of creeper among the small asteroids.

As for the blasters

retreat to defend your infrastructure from the weak drones. You'll have more room on the right than the left.

There's a field wall across the entire top to keep most of the creeper away from the two asteroids of your base.
