I think this is a map that could prove to be harder to complete if the creeper had to be destroyed and not just collecting a holocube.

But, saying that, a good map none the less.

Thanks for the feedback.  I had a couple of maps just before this one (episodes 4 & 5) which were Obliteration-style and got some comments in the other direction.  So for this one, I just wanted to convey a sense of "endless gushing water" that you had to find a way around but couldn't stop entirely.

It is never going to be easy to get the right balance, so you will never please everyone.

But, I do think that if you were to have added a holocube into the other 2 areas that have drones in it would have added to the planning without leaving it as being impossible with the limited blasters.

20/20 hindsight is always a fun thing to have, so I will finish with saying again it was a good map.

The right balance differs from person to person in all honesty so there is no 'right balance' - personally, I typically prefer obliteration missions, but only when the map ends fairly quickly once you're in a winning position (that isn't to say that you get into a winning position quickly necessarily) - pretty much when you're already advancing on the creeper and there's nothing that's going to make the map any more difficult than it already is, the map should be ending fairly quickly (at least in my opinion)

I also liked it. BTW I never built a blaster and took out the drones in 2 spaces. Didn't have any need to tackle the 128 point monster.

Yeah, that was the way I did it, too. That last chamber was more of a decoration than an obstacle.
