Has anyone managed to beat the secret level??
I found the level today but I can't finish it... I can handle the first 5 minutes or so, then it is just impossible, the creeper density of the rain keeps increasing. Do we have to beat the level quickly enough so that it does not get too strong or something? :-\
My strategy is to hide the LS just in the near cave and hold on the rain with shields, then use more shields to hold on the creeper coming from the down and start digging around. But no matter what I do, after ~5 minutes the rain is insane. I think I also saw rain "drops" appearing INSIDE my cave, what is up with that??!
SPOILER!!, I uploaded a video of my strategy (well a bad attempt, the computer was slowed down because of the video). Do not look if you didn't find the level yet!

code for the map?
I don't know what you did there - I get the exact same map layout and NO RAIN just the ground emitters

Mmm... ?
Oh I see, if you access the map using its name as the code you get the layout lol :D I didn't try that, nice find.
Mmm, so no one saw this level before? Not even the betas ???
I found the level too, But I Tried all of the settings, and no rain. Looking at it, it looks like creeper on the bottom is wrapping to the top, though It is hard to tell due to you not scrolling to the bottom, perhaps your version is buggy?

Did you somehow get a leak of the Map Editor? If not, how do you access this "Secret" map.
If it was made with the map editor... A: nice level. B: how did you get the map editor??

I didn't use "the map editor", is the map editor available for betas then? But yeah it is a nice level indeed, it keeps getting harder the more time passes.
I just used the link/button given in one of the bonus mission.

which bonus mission?
warutel stop dancing around and tell us exactly where this "hidden mission" is, give us screen shots and point exactly to it.
Virgil never told us about a "secret mission."
You are either:
1) Lying about the fact you have a stolen copy of the map editor
2) or are a beta member trolling the rest of us.
Alright, something's going on here. That account, "warutel" Seems to have been made JUST for this post... and the youtube account you posted from is brand new, made today just for that video. Tell us the truth, how'd you come across that level?
The map is indeed man-made, the field effects of the "rain" is unmistakeable.
It should be a moving field that drops creeper moving left and right.
My bet is (assuming he did not grab a copy of the map editor);
He used the code maps to get "secret raining level" map layout, and then edited some info using a hex editor to get the rain effect.
If that's so, congrats on making the first user level of CW2. If not, banhammer.

I think the bigger question is, if it IS the map editor... how'd he get it?

There are no fields in the upper part of the map (where the rain is). I forgot to turn on the Show Fields option in the video, sorry.
(but you are the closest one to the answer ;) )

It is true that I don't have access to the map editor.
I'm not a beta member either.
There is only one lie in all what I said in this thread, though.

Fields are the only way to do this. Could you explain? This is fairly advanced field work.
Perhaps a Teleport field at the bottom of the map that teleports creeper to the top?
wow, you hand-edited the creeper array with a memory editor? ;)
maybe virgill is trolling us?
no, virgil said he wasn't in beta
I just watched the video. Interesting to say the least. I am curious to what you did to "create" this level. I have to agree with some of the other posters and that you used some sort of hack to create this.

Maybe with the standard editor it is the only way, but I didn't use them, promise. ;)
I will upload a new video to show that there are no fields if I get some free time.

By the way, as for people asking for the .cw2 save file, I can't fulfill that request at the moment :'(
I am really confused as to what is going on here...
A some super secret level, made with a editor that has not been released yet, posted by a 'newbie' (most likely a beta in disguise?), the level has creeper rain, and a whole bunch of puns and inside jokes...
??? :-\

I wouldn't worry about it too much, if anything, it shows the capability of cw2 which is pretty neat!!
Sure it is cool. There is no need for secrecy though. We give honest feedback all the time. If Virgil and the betas are testing a new idea they can just throw it out there. However if this was a "leak" of some sort, the OP would have been banned.
It's not from me, or one of the betas (that I know of). It also isn't a secret level, or a result of some early version of the map editor. To me it looks like a code map and then hacked manipulation of the creeper array to produce the creeper from "nowhere". Perhaps the large energies used by the LHC have poked a 10th dimensional 'hole' through to a neighboring brane and allowed creeper to leak through.... perhaps...

OF COURSE!!! The LHC!
I should have known, those dang engineers and physicists messing with the space time continuum! >:(
Im sorry LHC? I did a forum search and cant find this abbreviation before this post.....
What are you planning Virgil????
Edit: Google is a wonderful thing.... Large Hadron Collider....

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Being over obsessed over weird or stupid things. For example, being bothered by small drops of Anti Creeper and wanting to vacuum every last drop. Or only eating green grapes, or only stepping out the front door with your right foot first...all the time.
You are welcome.

Thank you kind sir.
I think have OCD!
I have OCD, I need to make my networks Symmetrical, I've finished a CW1 level and realized my network was not, and I destroyed everything to rebuild it correctly. :-\
To sum this all up:
A OCD person hacked a creeper world 2 code map called Secret Raining Level to have the creeper "rain" from the top.
He made a video to troll us and midway through the topic people started making puns about it.
Oh and he will not give us the cw2 file so we can play it.
that addition was
*sunglasses*
puny
YEAAAH!!!
Sorry, just had to do it...

Ok, here you have two missions for CW2, have fun please!
Warutel's Rain &
Warutel's Flood!
The first one is easy and should be fun for anyone. The second one is harder and I think people will like a map like this. I tried to balance them the best I could in half an hour, so please have mercy :D
If you like this stuff, I will try to make a good/challenging mission :)
Edited: Rain is the easy one, no the other way around.
If you did not get a copy of the map editor, then congrats on making a custom map out of hex editing. If you did, well then good joke, but I think there should be someone out there that broke some EULA.
That is no doubt made with a third party program, the repulsors don't cause the creeper to spread out, like what would happen with fields.

I got to go to sleep. Tomorrow I will explain :)
That second map confused me even more! :o

The map gets reset to the default settings after a restart.
So where do you put the save game file?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it appdata/creeperworld2. I'm on my phone so I can't check.
We've all had some fun. Save games like this can probably not be loaded outside the beta version of CW2, unless some minor hacking is employed. Also, some of the actions on the video is not available in the real-life saved maps.
We now have a pretty good idea of what happened and it is best this thread ends here. :)
