Title: Got a virus, then system restore
Post by: Cheesecake on February 08, 2010, 08:21:57 PM
We did a system restore because we had a virus shortly after installing creeperworld, and now it has an error when it installs saying it already exists. ??? I have searched my computer and deleted everything with creeperworld in the filename, but it still won't install. My dad thinks there's something in the registry, and he is going to check it. Has anyone else experienced this problem?   >:(

Check for CreeperWorld files/folders in the %appdata% folder or subfolders. The %appdata% folder is usually hidden, so you have to set your system to display hidden files/folders to see stuff in there. I don't believe CW installs anything in the registry, but Adobe AIR may during the installation.

The appdata is no problem when reinstalling; it actually makes sure you can continue your game where you left off.

Okay, we ran a registry cleaner and looked again, and deleted everything that had knucklecracker or creeperworld in it. Thanks for your help, guys  ;D
