The good folks at http://Discordmerch.com would like to create and offer a Creeper World branded Tee Shirt. This topic is for community input.
Note that the shirt will be single sided and likely target a single color. So think in terms of words and perhaps outlined shapes. I have sent the folks at Discordmerch a link to this forum topic so they can check here for any input the very talented community might have.
How about a reciprocal link to their site so we can see the type of merchandise they offer?

I'm sorry, Virgil, but I would never be able to walk around with a T-Shirt that said "Creeper World" on it... Unless maybe it had a picture of a Creeper from Minecraft on it as well...
Some ideas would be:
- An emitter with creeper spreading over a shirt that looks like CW1 terrain
- The CW Logo on the front
- KnuckleCracker Logo
- Odin City

Perhaps a shirt with all the different units on it. Or even individual ones.
a drone in action, like the picture when you enter knucklecracker.
Or one with a map in progress. Maybe at the end, showing the totems power up, or at the beginning, showing the building of the network. Or even one in the middle with the map divided, with one half controled by creeper and the other by the humans. So many possibilities!
What about a grid on 20 or so small shots from a game in progress.
If they really wanted to put some effort into the shirt, make it to where it's a Creeper-sound shirt. Comes with a 10-button keypad and a decent speaker on the front that's designed like a Creeper Nexus and the rest of the shirt is slowly filling with Creeper. Comes with CW sounds on it :D (You can also put your own sounds on it, too)
Um... you are aware that tee shirts are generally made of fabric?
Nano-fibres? and noo, should just be something simple :P

Maybe rather something like "Defeat the Creeper" or, as I previously suggested "Blast This!" and then Creeper World and Knuckle Cracker as smaller text for those looking closer.
The association between "creep" and "Creeper" is easy to mistake that I'd not want to venture out with a shirt like that - just say I don't have the chutzpah.

I think alot of people would love the shirts just because of the words creeper world.. I remember my rebellion time when I was 12-17. I always wanted the words/sentences like Highway to hell, the number is 666, Piss Off, frak [edited for the young: vw] the world and stuff like that :)
Stuff like that sells, and get attention. Not that "Creeper World" in my mind is in that category, but yeh.

I'd say 100%, 80%, 20% and 1% of black are all black, so one colour.

so i dont mind wearing it with the word CREEPER on it ,
if the small text fits and are kind of funny . ( an doubble way to get it , so it can be even good or bad depending of how you read it =P )
Yep.. 0% to 100% black is one color, but not all print companies count it as one color. (the printing press don't tackle it)
If it does there is several cool things we can make. Also depends on the shirt color.

Hello, this is Ed from Discord Merch. Virgil pointed me towards this thread as I wanted to get input from the CW community on the shirt design. My main focus is to use a design that existing fans of the game would like but also would be funny, cute or interesting enough so that if someone sees the shirt and has never heard of Creeper World they still might buy it. On my site I have shirts for TVtropes.org and I have sold them at conventions to people who have never heard of the site, they just liked the shirt. So this is a way to make fans happy, but also to potentially spread the word about the game.
With screen printing, each color is its own screen, so the more complex a design is the more expensive it is to print. However, that doesn't just mean black on white or white on black. I currently have a green on black design, for example. However, for a particularly good design I would be ok with 2 colors, or 2 sided. Any design has to include the Knuckle Cracker logo and website URL.
I am particularly liking Mad Mag's designs, they are all good and appropriate for screen printing. Also note that we don't have to get everything into one shirt. If the first shirt does well I would obviously be open to expanding the line, especially with Creeper World 2 coming out.

If I use someone's design as-is I will be happy to credit them in the shirt description on the site by their forum name or any other identifier they wish. Virgil does get final approval on any designs before they go up, but he agreed that getting community input was important.

Unfortunately I couldn't support any of MagMad's shirts simply because I could never walk around with "Creeper" on my shirt. Only ideas I could get behind is maybe a monochrome version of the units in the game if you want 1-2 colors...

Knuckle Cracker gets final say on the design as it is his logo and game. I certainly didn't intend this to be a back and forth on the definition of Creeper. I have a 10 year old nephew and have no intent on making a shirt that could be construed as unseemly. My Batman shirt is the closest I come to going 'blue' and that is only because it is a direct quote of the meme. I've been corresponding with Madmag and will probably utilize some variation of the designs he has submitted. Once a design has been made and approved by KC, I will place it up on my site for pre-order for $5. When the shirts are physically printed, those that placed pre-orders will be able to buy the shirts for just the difference. After that, based on the popularity of the shirt I would definitely be up for a second design, so any ideas that didn't make it into the first one will still have a shot.
I generally print from Large to XXXL. If there is sufficient interest I can print Small and Medium. Do you feel Small and Medium will be needed or should I stick with my normal sizes?

The idea with the jokes is to appeal to fans as well as new people. I mentioned the TVtropes.org shirts that I do. The ones I picked were things that regulars of the site would get but are still amusing overall, such as "Instant Awesome, Just Add Ninja", "May Contain Evil" or "The Computer is a Cheating Bastard". If you know the site you get the full joke but even if you don't it is still funny (I hope). I was just seeing if there was anything similar in CW. I would also make a choice between the KnuckleCracker logo and www.KnuckleCracker.com, to prevent it from looking cheap (I only walk around with clear advertisements if the T-shirt is heavily subsidized).

Why keep 'em in stock? Just print when ordered like most web shops do. Also keep in mind that many people outside the US are a little smaller (width, not length :P) if you like to ship abroad.

I have shipped to England and the Netherlands without incident. If you place an order from a country with specific import/customs rules like that please include that info with the order. I was not aware Denmark required that.
To answer a previous question I do screen printing, not print on demand, so I have to print a number of shirts up front. That is why I go to such lengths to get a good design and then do the pre-order system. I am going over a few designs, including some submitted by MM here, and should have something to go within a week. Thanks.

It's not required by law as far as i know, and is merely just to avoid them tearing open the package for inspection of contents so they know what to set the import taxing for :)

I'm sorry, but "Blast the creep" is exactly what I'd NOT want on a shirt. The term in CW is "Creeper." "Creep" is that guy doing weird things to little animals and can too easily be taken to be the guy wearing the weird shirt.
and a "creeper" is more commonly known as those stupid explody things on minecraft. Maybe, "destroy the loki" or something?
"Destroy the Nexus" would have good context as well. :)
To any person not familiar with CW it would look like a T-shirt with the sun or a sea mine.
what about a shirt with a picture of the styglek consortium? Those guys are awesome! And it'd be hard to mistake them for a sun or a sea mine. XD

Yes. As this thread was...less than productive Virgil and I selected one of the You Will Be Undone shirts (version 3 above). It will be placed on my site shortly as a $5 pre-order until the shirts are physically printed and then will be ready for regular sale. Anyone that places a $5 pre-order will receive a $5 coupon to be used for the sale of the shirt when it is ready (the pre-order essentially acting as an intent to buy to give me an idea of how many to print on the first run).
Depending on how this run goes I definitely want to do a shirt for CW2 specifically.

It's possible, the next thing I want to focus on will be a CW2 shirt so I will come up with a few different designs for scrutiny. As always Knuckle Cracker gets the final say.

Please consider
MadMag's designs (http://knucklecracker.com/forums/index.php?topic=6723.msg40828#msg40828), because his are more slick. The different text fonts (like on the first one) don't fit a computer game in my opinion.

That is weird, after Virgil mentioned the link was up I tested it and it worked. Item 65 was the pre-order which I have taken down and now the link goes to item 66, strange.
I know the drone is from CW2, that is why I said it was a possibility. :)
I like MadMag's designs so will try to utilize what he has submitted, pending community and KC approval, obviously.
