Title: Reactor to Storage Ratio?
Post by: DethbyIT on December 20, 2010, 02:01:43 PM
I've searched through the forums, but can't find any specific discussion of this topic.

By playing and reading comments I have learned that you must have storage units to maximize the production of your Reactors.

My question is whether there is any known ratio that you need to maintain - as you build more Reactors.

Thanks,
dbit

It works a bit different actually. You can't collect more than 20 energy without one (one is enough) storage unit. This has nothing to do with reactors, but just with the city's packet dispensing ability.

Odin city has a maximum output of 32 packets, but without a storage, even if you are producing 32 energy, the city can only export 20. So if I ever need more than 20 energy, I will usually only build a single storage, unless the map calls for periods of times with using more energy than I have. Then I will build more.

Excellent information - thank you both.

Correct. And despite the fact that the display indicates 21 packets per 32 frames, each bundle only contains 20 packets.
