maybe the start wasn't super hard, but I'm glad someone is still making maps...

Good question, that was exaggeration on my part after having started it too slowly.

No matter where I tried to build, it seemed like the massive amount of creeper and the aggressive swarm of spores were just too much for my base. I tried building a grid of collectors first, then building reactors until the last minute, but I just couldn't manage to produce enough energy to... oh wait. Sorry, I've been playing some old Jason Stevens maps that I couldn't beat back in the day and just got confused for a minute.

I liked this map - not a huge threat, but we're also missing some valuable items so it all balances out nicely. I think even if you disabled the pause button it wouldn't be too difficult for many or maybe even most players. The energy and ore pickups help to secure things. Definitely something slightly different that's not quite as easy as it appears at first glance.
