Martin makes some really good maps so I figured it'd be better to just modify some of his maps than to make any effort in trying to be original. All I did was nerf the overpowered 100x totem, while modestly boosting a few other totems. That's pretty much the only difference. Oh, and I removed the pause function. But who needs that anyway? Spoiler not Spoiler: I realized after finishing the map that I messed up the CRPL doodad. It can be nullified, which wasn't intended. Feel free to go that route if you wish. But it's not like you're even reading this, are you?

I don't think that the CRPL with no pause button is helpful or adds anything, other than that I almost lost the map after my wife told me dinner was ready.

Yeah, ya gotta just save fast and resume it when you come back.
All it adds is a bit of challenge and a bit more realism. I love the RTS-style games because in a real battle there is no pause button. Ya gotta think and react fast or just lose.
But you're right. The worst thing about RTS is when RL calls you for something like dinner and there is no pause. Or you get to dinner and you realize the simple truth that there is no spoon!
