One base falls, the other quickly follows. Take care. Good luck.
Hope you like this, Johnny.
Should've been uploaded right after Who Dares Wins, but Fallout New Vegas called before I could upload it, and I must answer the call lol.
By the way, tell me how hard it is to hold one base alone. Whenever a base collapses the other follows, as the pressure from the spores and Cbombers is too much for one base.
I really enjoyed this map, dude! And I get what ya mean about answering the call when a new game comes out. Thanks for coming back to make a map ^_^
It wasn't too difficult to hold the left base alone. The power zones make it much easier but also more enjoyable. It's better to have power zones with more powerful enemies to balance it out than to just have everything else the same, imo.
I enjoyed killing the boss in the center. The zig-zagging drone around it took 4 nullifiers to kill, lol. I got to the inhibitor fairly quickly, about 40 minutes game-time of just letting the game run & not pausing. Instead of killing it, I decided it'd be more fun to pick off everything else in the map first, so I did that.
I tried to take the boss straight on, but that drone thing kept messing me up. So I left it alone for later and killed all the other enemies and saved the best for last.
At first I was afraid that all the Artifacts of Odin you planted would make the game an insta-win, but I realized those custom runner-things aren't affected by freeze, so good job with that. Might still be possible using a lot of snipers and other stuff, I dunno. As it is, it's very enjoyable to play and not too difficult. If someone doesn't mind pausing and running multiple bases at once it should be even easier.
Thanks for the map!! =)

Glad you enjoyed it.
If you'd order my last 4 maps in difficulty, how'd you order them?
(This, WDW, AtF, THH)
Intended method is to build a hold on the left base, and just leave it there, and use the right base to advance. The more the right base advances, the less creeper there'll be, so the left base would just advance on its own.
The AoOs are there to help with attacking the boss in the middle, and to be a cheap way for you to get out of a sticky situation.
Admittedly, I made this a lot easier than it should've been, but I just wanted to get it uploaded ASAP.
(Also New Vegas is a 2010 game, but one I replay very often)
Ah, I'm so outta touch with new games. Still playing this one after off-and-on for 10 years, lol.
I think THH was the hardest, and I didn't have to think too hard about it. There was so much going on that I kept forgetting to do one or two things and then I'd lose ground, so I just abandoned that idea and went to the island.
And I wouldn't say any of the maps are "easy", and I'd imagine that a lot of players give up and don't finish your maps because they're pretty challenging.
I think there are several newer players who don't even realize the forums exist, and/or perhaps can't read much English. I made a map with pretty explicit in-game instructions and Martin was the only one who finished it last I looked.
After playing a few of Martin's maps, I like to play maps like yours - they're still challenging enough to force you to think, but not so much that your brain locks up and next thing you know, you're back in solitary confinement. =D

I could probably have held the top base had I realized earlier on that I was supposed to swap the bertha for a beam; didn't feel like redoing everything after that realization. Though, I did first manage to flatten it out enough I could drop command nodes by the totem to supplement my aether production.
Key is to park beams in power zones and get at least 2 levels in weapon range. More weapon range upgrades make expansion easier/possible.
