Title: Black Hole Terrain/0 Terrain
Post by: teengamer on January 16, 2010, 09:58:35 AM
The creeper would either:
A) Fall into it endlessly
or
B) Fill it up, but it would be extra deep (Like 3 levels)

And you wouldn't be able to build on it.

and how would a different background change the gameplay effects?

Ehh I think the suggestion is that we can make black holes in the game ,
not that the background image is an blackhole .

And what is wrong to make an map with the same background as other maps ?

I think that's a good idea -- an instakill terrain that you can't build on.

Sorta like a pool but saves you the trouble of having to bomb it yourself :P

and then people will want a building to create these black holes and then people will want other options like some buildings can be built etc and the whole process starts again, i like the idea but i wouldnt like to see it implemented

hey to those concerned, virgil has released an update to the map editor that fixes some minor bugs, the one thing that might be of use in map diversity is the fact that u can set an emitter to 0, and it destroys creeper rather than emit it.

False. I tested it and the lowest you can go is 0.1 and it just slowly emits creeper.

Ah. I see that he gave a new map editor but not a new game version. Uploaded. It worked, but not very well.

How does it "work, but not very well?"

Set a 9 Creeper to 0 and activated every 0.1 seconds and 1 1000 in the center that activated every 0.1 seconds. The Creeper didn't even make it past the Creeper with 0.
