Whenever it tries to install it freezes and then I have to kill it. Somebody give me any idea how to get it to work.

Give us an idea of what Operating system you are using.
Read through some of the suggested alternate installation methods here in this board.
Hint: Maybe Virgil (or one of the mods) could make a sticky with all the alternate ways to install AIR and then extract the package, etc.
