I thought that we could start off with a blank map and then each person edits it a bit, and posts it and eventually, we have a good map

EDIT3: please make sure to test the map to completion if you have made a change to the terrain, emitters, or overall gameplay. (most people dislike impossible maps)

There, made a big impact, said something in the opening text, feel free to do more with the terrain.
added to opening text
set the title to "secui" (it means parts in latin)
changed creeper color to light blue
minor terrain changes
disabled relays
near- invisible terrain change,
changed mist colors to be right to the creeper
Also i suggest we put the end-result in the custom maps wuth the author name: community maps.

Some terrain changes, placed two more totems, and changed some other small things.
re-added a relay tech to make the amp possible :)
Decreased the interval of the middle emitters, added two emitters to force you (just a bit) to conquer the first part of the map before the spore wave.
Added two more emitters so that you have to fight to the creep fortress.
increased the two new emitters their starting time, to give you some time to build energy. Also changed the terrain inside the creeper fortress a lot.
Also ThePenguin, are you sure secui means parts, as far as I know it's or I cut, or an adverb meaning others.

added lots of increeseing spore waves,
moved morter to tech
Made the spore waves a bit less extreme, also tweaked the terrain a little bit so OTW should also be able to win the map.
one notice: please test the map to its fullest. i just noticed you can't reach the last totem.
also my main problem are the emitters in the left part. ah well, i'll just delete those and look for any other problems from time to time :)
Destroyed the collectors I accidentily left standing.
OTW, with the extra terrain I gave you, you should be able to gain more energy without needing blasters which'll make it easier to win.
changed a few colors to make it look better
added 8 mines to add to the general chaos
changed the name from "secui" to "sectum" (it really means "parts" in latin this time)
Increased center emitter intensity so that it will overflow it's walls.

re-formatted the opening text so all quotes are in the same format (fewer linebreaks=more text per line=more quotes)

minor terrain adjustments
relay tech is no longer needed so it has been removed
moved upgrades
added to artifact text
moved the land a little bit
changed collectors and blasters to techs (it's truely evil, I know)
however there are no gameplay changes (just a little bit of logic)
you can't get techs without anything you need collectors
sorry didn't see that. anyway made odin city moveble (don't see way it should'nt be) and made the blaster near the last artifact on level ground.
there is one unlocked blaster, and one pre-built collector
all you have to do is move in the blaster to connect

if odin is mobile, the solution isn't required, and the map is designed to be fought from that location

Added some temples to the terrain, put down some reactors, (can't get enough energy without the tech) and added a few more mines.
Can some one swap storage tech with reactor tech when they take a turn?
It's just too hard without reactors, and so little land.

True. All they can say is no. It seems to me it would be fitting to have a map made from multiple people as the 3,000th map. Spiffen is a good map maker but I think this would be better, but thats my opinion ;)

Go by downloads. I've seen maps with 2,3 hundred and 1 or no comments. And they wern't that old

it does'nt matter how the first one did =P , and it has done well so far =) .
