I suspect the trick you mean isn't the one I used. ;) (Make things go boom.)

It took me several tries to get the final attack right, but I never saw a spore on the winning try.

I used lots of blasters and it worked OK. I know there is a better way but I have not learned it yet.

No Blasters - just maximum speed (OC is movable).
