5 minute map in that's as long as we can survive?  I see no way to control the creep at the start.

If you build out a quick network of collectors (that you will lose as the creep moves in) early you can use that to get a couple mines + two sprayers up. Position them to help uncover more mines and also to cover your CN. Rebuild your collector network as much as possible then build a mortar for each sprayer. Two mortars + two sprayers will keep you safe for a while so you can start building up reactors. From there you should be able to build out the first island to the south. The island north is more of a pain but I was able to get a foothold on my first try and only two of the spores towers ever fully built.
