How do you get off the starting island?

This is another map where you need to get your energy economy moving very quickly, starting with collectors and moving to reactors.
After that, you can keep the runners off of the digitalis near your base with strafers. Some will probably slip in before you get the air stuff up and running but that's fine, you have plenty of space they can't reach and you can clear them out. You can clear the two emitters on digitalis pretty easily once your strafers are running. After that some combination of mortars, cannons, and sprayers should let you take out the bottom left and bottom right emitters. Maybe do them one at a time. You'll also need a mortar to keep the creeper from sneaking across the two skinny north bridges. Then you can use the PZs plus maybe some bombers to create safe spots to take out the runner nests using a guppy. Well, the right side is a little easier than the left, I think maybe I didn't get to the left runner nest until I was able to circle around and attack it from the north as well. There's aether on the mineral fields you'll need to siphon off first, but not too hard. I think maybe I didn't take out the left runner nest or make use of that PZ until I was able to
You'll need to keep up with building beams throughout, obvs, this is one of AlexX's maps. But once you establish yourself on the platforms with the runner nests there's nothing too crazy to deal with.
The secret to this one is:
Spoiler
Start on the top left island, build 5 or 6 collectors and then one sniper. When the sniper is fully loaded return your CN to orbit and then land it on the bottom island in one of the bottom corners. You will just have enough time to build one ore mine and one sprayer which is enough to then start to secure the island.
The fully loaded sniper is enough to get a self sufficient AC bug chain going. Once you are set up send a guppy and with loads of collectors and relays take out the first spore and aerial block thing. Don't take out the nest or disrupt the digitalis. With a few guppies and 3 mortors nove up being careful not to break the digitalis and take out the top left spore and air blocker.
Set the bottom island up so it can last a minute without power (guppies can help with this). Send CN to space and land top left to collect bertha tech. Return your CN to the base. Using guppies take out the rest of the top left island and build a bertha on a PZ. Leaving your bottom island is now easy!
that was not planned. I should probably take a closer look at my maps and hide my design plan.... sometimes I play older maps of mine again... then I find similar new possibilities that surprise me.... class D.!

I see no way to stay alive through that. I have the first ring around the base but I see nothing I can push beyond that and the spores get worse and worse.
