The Discus is based on an old prototype, the SHIELD IV, a unique design lost to time. The Discus is the first prototype served to deflect particles from all angles. What it lacks in mobility and armour, makes up in firepower. The Discus is prefered a short ranged fighter and undesirable to turrets and walls.
