Your spores get more and more insane! Took a couple of tries to nail the start. Looks like there were some friendly bugs but I didn't see how to use them.
While I love the detail put into these maps, The over abundance of spores turns a RTS game into a Turn based game. Which honestly I don't find particularly fun.
Cheers and thanks for keeping CW3 alive.
Another fun plus long one. Thanks!

Of course I agree with you. However, I make maps that I like myself... mostly at least... too bad you don't like them. most players don't like them or they are too difficult for many.
but as I said - primarily I make the maps for myself and upload some of them for a few :-)

They're definitely more difficult but I think a lot of players overestimate how difficult they are. I know some of the real speedrunners will treat your starts like they are turn based but I don't really find them that way. There's definitely more pausing than other maps in the beginning, but I think I only do a lot of pausing in the first five minutes or so, and then if I make it to about 15-20 minutes game time I am past the point of needing to emergency pause. I'll pause every so often to take stock without the state of the game changing but it's not really necessary at that point.
agree
The ultimate goal of the speedrunner is to have the discipline to treat every part of the game as turn based, right to the bitter end!

How do they make it turn based? On this map it doesn't take long before you have enough power zones to put beams on that the spores become pretty much a non-issue.

Sorry just saw this.
Since I started playing CW, I have tried to never use the pause. So on this map (if I remember correctly) you end up having to pause constantly to micromanage the base because of the over-abundance of spores. When you have to pause all the time the game is no longer RTS but Turn-based (and becomes tedious IMO). I understand that some people like that and so I avoid those maps/cartographers when I know that is there style. When I played this map I was unaware so commented.
Cheers

I found almost no need of pause. At the very start it's needed a few times when making two units change place without wasting time, but beyond that I had enough PZ beams up that the spores were a non-issue.
