i don't have a link but can just tell you here and you can always ask for more detail if i am not clear...
this link might be useful when making maps but it doesn't explain it.

so... there are two ways to make custom script maps...
1: become (or already be a) code monkey.
this page of the forums is useful for these brave individuals...
https://knucklecracker.com/forums/index.php?board=25.0
2: steal other peoples codes!
this is my preferred method! ;)
no one minds, especially if you try to give attribution to the people who made or contributed to a CPRL script.
this method is pretty straightforwards really, so a step by step follows:
1: get the map ID number from Colonial Space, or the forum. in this maps case that is 10218.
2: got to your CW3 folder, then find the "Colonial Space" folder, the path will be something like this
C:\Users\username\Documents\creeperworld3\colonialspace
3: got to the folder that will have the needed map in it. in this case that is a folder called "10200", then open the sub folder called "10218.cw3" and copy the save file called "10218" ( the ones ending in "-auto\-1\-2\-3" are the saves you may have made while playing) then place the "10218.cw3" file on the desktop somewhere you can find it in a bit.
4: go to the CW 3 game and make a new project, name it but don't worry about the size yet. close CW3 is what i usually do at this point but not sure you really need to, old habits and all that! ;)
5: find the new project folder in the "WorldEditor" folder in the CW3 main folder
C:\Users\username\Documents\creeperworld3\WorldEditor
6: open the new project and delete the file named "save.cw3"
7: rename the file called "10218.cw3" on your desktop to "save.cw3" and put it in the new project folder. the scripts will be put in the scripts sub folder automatically when you open it in the editor...
8: reopen CW3 and go to your new project and you will be able to redit my map that has V's pyramid units on it.
you can treat them like anyother unit, you can set C/AC amounts and times etc.
hope that helps! ask for clarity if not dude... i look forwards to your 'mid maps! 8)
attached are some maps that can be copied, renamed "save.cw3" and have various scripts built in that i use for mapping...

and a few more attachments... ::)
Thx a lot teknotiss for the great explanation and the time you took for it. I try this later the day.

Way, way more weapons than needed.
is that a problem?
my maps are rarely about "barely enough stuff" playstyles... more usually i like to leave lots of options for different players to play as they like...
anyway, hope it was entertaining? 8)
