I can't figure out how to get the nexus to actually build and generate power, no matter where i seem to place it, it stays in the pending build state, and can't be deleted.

it's a "Play as Creeper" map, so I'd hazard a guess you're not supposed to place the Rift Lab.

There's a placeable item in this map, it's called nexus in the menu and creeper forge when placed, i'm talking about that.

It auto builds after being placed when the game is not paused.
It costs that amount of Liftic as an attempt to say: "hey, that is an absurd amount of liftic so it CAN'T be serious about that build cost".

-One miss understanding latter.

It absorbs Creep to generate power. When you put your mouse over it without selecting it, it says that.
-Or at least that is what it should say.

The nexus/ creeper forge only builds the quantum lancer under the custom tab. It can only be built inside the circle around the nexus, you can see the range when you have the nexus selected. The nexus absorbs creep too generat more power on the top bar. You can see the progress in the red and purple box on the left, it will take awhile for the progress too reach 100% and then you get 1 more power. Too make emiters and the other weapons you need to place them in creep that is atleast 2 deep.

This is the part i'm struggling with, i've played maps with forges before, but i can't get it to actually build the forge on this map, i've placed it down and it doesn't build, it looks like an unfinished building does in the normal game mode.

Here's what i see when i place it within creeper and select it.

Did you by any chance save and reload?
Here is how it builds itself:

if(GetUnitUpdateCount gt0)
once
ConstructUnit(self 1000000)
        endonce
endif

It should be impossible for it to be in this situation. Restart the level. What ever happened is probably something VERY unusual.
And are you sure the game has been progressing after placing it down and it still does not build?

Okay this is weird, i reinstalled the game and when selecting this map, i had difficulty selection at the start which i didn't have before, and the forge built instantly, so it seems it was a problem with my version of the game lol, sorry for bothering you.

Lol i struggled for over an hour starting with 10 power and only took 30% of the map with no clue how to go further, and it turns out that my game wasn't updated.

Always play the most up to date version you have. I do not release maps in the beta branches as it is something people need to enable themselves (it is off by default so you play the most up-to-date main/stable version) which means probably 80% of the player base has no idea there is a beta version and I have no idea why someone would or how without noticing themselves, play the game in an outdated stable version.
