The best I did was ignoring all the preemptive targets and simply focusing on expanding my base.  I survived the first two 25 spore waves but I was in the hole on power and couldn't recharge fast enough, the next one had a spore die just before hitting the back of my base and the next one wiped my base.

I need to call somebody. I'm trying the slow build up at the bottom center base but am not optimistic.
When the Spores start flying, I'm going to be dying.

Great map AlexX! a tricky start as always, and I see the Berthas have run out again  :P

Some hints: I found it best to

just establish a small perimeter around the bottom base, and then concentrate on getting guppies up to the middle two islands to clear those.
Then you can have many PZ beams to take care of the multi-25-spore nightmare!

get a couple of snipers (soon after) to the small islands in the L shapes to start the AC party

btw... this map tooks hours 2 get the right timming 4 everything. now it was unfortunately a lot easier than planned... but otherwise I wouldn't have been able to upload it for ages. so i removed some hurdles...

20 mins game time and two hours actual time and I can finaly relax and not micro manage guppies, that was a tough start!!

at first i had more digitalis on both sides next to the path and a few bugs... and there where no islands

Yeah that's not really my way! I suspect I was close to your technique on this one though:

I started with a base in the starting position and then led a guppy attack to the centre two islands. Once the AC was flowing went far left and far right and then up and down. Then went bottom left and bottom right together and finaly got to the pyramid just after I had cleared the top.

Thanks for making this. There are not many people who can make something this challenging, I really enjoyed it.  :)

I didn't see the possibility of moving the CN to the lower island.  I still don't see how it can hold but maybe.

Wowzers, nice map!

Yeah, I had a lot of ideas about how to do this but in the end I just did my wacky thing and took a whack-whack here and a whack-whack there and before you know it, I had a farm.

Wish I'd read the forum first. I didn't bother checking to see if any of the runners had good AC or not. So my method - while almost completely brainlessly easy - takes a really long time. Might try doing this again the right way, who knows?
