thanks for making this map!

personally i found the initial base layout too imperfect to continue using it, first thing i did was to delete all the air units you had placed on the left and then set all terrain to be terped down to level 1 on the base island/area.

then once i had built a lot of power and terps i deleted all those reactors as they were "off centre" for how i like my base built...

but that is mild OCD for you...  if a map is "natural" terrain i am fine with it, if it is nice logical (better symmetrical) terrain i like it, but if is it logical terrain that doesn't easily compliment a base layout i get the terps out!

so my time is prob not great, but the map is a fun play for me once i have my base up..

essentially that was a long winded way of saying "don't prebuild a base for my benefit, i would rather plan and build a base my own way!"

oh, and the having to guppy for aether is a bit annoying really... but not the end of the world.

cheers again, make more maps!  and ignore my weird ravings about bases too if you like, make the maps you want... just laying out my opinion here!  :D 8)

I love reading tek's comments about maps.
I am definitely in the camp of 'let me build my own base', but I can adapt when needed.
Time to take a run at this.

You can relay over to the main island, no need for guppies at all.

I am not a fan of prebuilt units at all but didn't mind them here as it speeded up the start and air unit only maps can be a slog to begin with.

Played all of your maps now and thoroughly enjoyed them all, they are also progressing really well, I hope you continue to make loads more!

true, but i figured since it is called Air Force i thought i would use the PZs for a pair of super bombers.  ;) 8)

It occurs to me that since you made an "Air Force" map (air units), you need to make a "Marine Corps" map (all the ground units).

a beach assault type mission could work for a "marines" map...

just throwing that out there... not volunteering to make it!

i have way too many half made and i'm not happy with maps on the go at the moment.

there are those "Sleeper" CPRL scripts out there... the creeper gets player units to use and an AI that can use them...

if you are inclined to do it feel free to use those scripts, then Helper can charge up a beach into some cannon fire!  8)

But why, oh why, do the spores clump into a single destination, instead of spreading out over the player's units like they normally do?

Had do restart because a spore clump just sailed through the beam line.
Now having to restart just because some game mechanics weirds out isn't fun :-(
