this tooks ages to solve... but with help from Martin....
How is this even supposed to work?
What does not:
Approach 1:

Build a lot of beams.
They're even cheap, but there's just not enough energy to power them against a barrage of 200 spores every 15 seconds. Also, reactors are ridiculously expensive, so that's obviously not the way this is meant to work.
Approach 2:

Since spores don't fire on stuff that still builds, build a ton of reactors first, then quickly build and power beams.
Fails because the creep will overpower the barriers before the reactors are built.
Approach 3:

Build a forge, power up the totems, increase energy income and build speed, and maybe we can build enough reactors and beams in time?
Works surprisingly well because the forge is ultra-cheaps and the totems are fast, but the defenses are soaked up by those blue thingies.
Approach 4:

Beams don't work, maybe shields?
Can't even get enough energy supply up quickly enough to even build a first defense unit.
Approach 5:

Why are siphons still there - can they make anything happen?
Nah. They don't even build anywhere.
If going even to the absurd (genius?) tactics does not work, I give up. I'm not going to second-guess the map maker's mind, that's just being railroaded to a solution.
You seem to be giving lots of strong worded comments in the forums here.
