in some ways i don't like giving feedback to you dude, cos i always worry i am coming across as whining...

i'm not, make the maps you like to make... but i think unit limits, lack terps in chaotic terrain maps, and the slow down effects these choices make certain put me off.

i would prefer a few terps, no collector limits, enough reactors (or PZ's to put fewer reactors on) and enough weapons to play this map and have fun. 

sorry man, but if you enjoy this sort of thing then keep making them, others are having fun with them i'm sure.

but i suspect the lower ratings are due to the limits etc on this sort of map.

since i don't play much i don't rate a map i don't enjoy, i think it is unfair if i haven't completed it to rate it, but i know others do not feel the same.

Thankfully we all like different things! Make maps for yourself, some people will like them, some won't. That's all there is to it!


I am stuck though, cleared the map, levelled round the AC emitter and tried a collector, relay and CN on the PZ and cannot fire that last nullifier. Stuck!

It doesn't work either way, surley the range of a CN on PZ is not affected by reloads?

Yes, it is. It was so for me. I termed terrain to 10, saved and reloaded and landed CN on PZ. It worked then

BTW: what PZ are we talking about?

yes, so fly the CN away, save the game, load the save and fly the CN back to the PZ. I think it's a glitch in the game, that it doesn't work all of the time.

also, the CN has to be dead centre on the PZ, but you knew that ;)

Must be a bug, makes no difference for me, the nullifier is just out of range. By your rational the range of the CN on the PZ would increase after a reload, that would be odd! The CN gets a boost to range on a CN as a standard feature, reloading does not increase that.

I think it's more due to the nullifier being outside of the map

you are at the wrong PZ

please use a collector on the PZ to get the nullifier

I landed the CN on the PZ, exited the game, checked the forum, said "Hmm", reloaded the game with the CN already on the PZ and it worked.

BTW, you can try to build something like a collector farther away just to make sure you're on the PZ.

I didn't mind the unit limits so much, although I think one compromise that could help is to have relay pickups at each of the first three "goals" so you don't have to destroy the relays you've already built. Building carefully isn't nearly as annoying as building carefully, tearing down, rebuilding carefully, etc.

Yet another Martin map that teaches us a new trick we never knew existed, which may need to know one day in the future as we're in a random game show on another planet someday. Just wait and see, you never know.
