lol, yes, absolutely! ;) 8)
anyone got a build order to get started?
Yes.
Beams, beams, beams, beams, beams, beams, beams

here is my start
Spoiler
build 1 syphon on a power pack. Then the other three syphons and fill the spaces with reactors, also put down 4 nullifiers i nthe corners of the start island to kill all the emitters in the inner ring. Build 4 blasters and once the emitters are down you can use the blasters to clear that inner ring. Then put beams on the power zones and you should be good to start!
best of luck dude, feel free to ask for more tips if you need them! 8)
And you can also
Spoiler
manually switch on 1 totem on each stack ot totems in order to upgrade forge without draining power. Clear next square by placing nullifiers on PZ's and build more beams on PZ' and maybe a reactor or two. Then next and next. Then attack the spore towers

Only the very beginning is challenging.
Spoiler
Build one power syphon
build other 3 syphons, build 12 reactor. as aether comes in, upgrade power only.
build more reactors. keep the corners open for nullifiers, but don't built them yet.
Once *these* reactors are done, build the 4 corner nullifiers also build 8 cannons(to clear the next platform)
as soon as nullified, move cannons to the PZ, rapid clear the second ring. Now, build 4 MORE reactors on the PZ there.
ONLY ONCE THESE REACTOrS ARE DONE, do you start to build beams. activate all totems now, and upgrade packet speed many times
You now have ample power, fast packets, and 4 beams on PZ plus many regular beams.
The rest of the map is a simple mop-up operation
You should be able to kill the 15 and 10 spores before they hatch. Possibly the 5-spores too.
This map would benefit from an inhibitor on every side. The entire mopping up was draining my laptop's power.

sorry dude, it can be a bit of a drain with a lot going on! 8)

At least you have power to drain.
My PC runs on Potato Juice (not even the good, fermented type).
This 12-minutes map took me three hours to play, at times it was down to seconds per frame instead of frames per second.

i'm sorry about that... my maps tend to be a bit large and therefore a spot laggy on older machines! :-\
I think this is the favorite of your new batch.
It took a bunch of tries to survive through the 5:00 mark - despite the Spoilers.
A great long battle.
Thanks,
H

glad you like it! i usually don't do a "scramble to set up start" on maps, but this really lends itself to this map i think.
cheers dude! 8)
Great map, dude! Spores and beams just flying and blasting all over the place - gotta love it!
I decided to take out the inner ring first, after building the siphons. Once you can build a single PZ reactor, things move very quickly. Once you have a ring of reactors, you can power up pretty much w/e you wanna power up.
If you're having trouble with the clean-up, just let the AC pump out for a bit and go watch a show or do something else for a bit. Come back and kill more stuff and then rinse & repeat. I do kinda wish this had at least one inhibitor. That way once you survived the real challenge you could end it a bit more quickly. Still, enjoyed it immensely!
Thanks for the map! ;D ;D
MOARS SPOARS!
My time also took 3 hours but that was due to excessive pausing. I would say the amnount of PZs make this more like an endurance test for the speedrunner, it's less about skill and more about having the patience to use all of that power. I'm exhausted!

yes i was hoping the speedrunners would like the options for approaches. the only really tricky part is the first stage, after that it was just about method. 8)
