This is a difficult map - but if you're looking for even something even harder, there's a hard version of this map :) This is NOT a sleeper map. #Heavy-Creep #Sleeper-AA #Sleeper-Strafer #Spore #Runner #Digitalis #Expensive-Reactors #Expensive-Collectors #Pump #Toggle-Pump Good luck!!
This must be the 3rd map of the same thing.
Ripperoni all the digitalis
Some advice, PLEASE
Even on Easy, this scenario is kicking my butt.
This is my current situation.
Despite those absolute *hordes* of cannons and mortars being sent in (I recover them when low on health, very few die),
I am losing ground.
2 minutes ago the creeper depth on the digi was 260, now it is 310.
While I am making some ground on the advance to the upper 9 emitter block, there is no ways I can actually reach it before the flood of creeper from the north crosses that divide and swamps me.

What am I doing wrong, *how* do I make better progress?
well, you do have two bomb factories

1 - You are overbuilding to a factor of about 1 million. Less is more. You don't need 99% of those beams and only enough mortors to attack/defend your frontline. All the rest just confuse things and dropping mortors in a thick mass of digitalis does very little.
2 - Why are you not using the Mass artefcats? Drop a few ahead of your attack and it is easy to advance. I followed with a few terps to make the craters easier to land on.
I thought this one was quite easy but again confusing to understand where the pumps connected to.

. You don't need 99% of those beams
Yes, yes i do.
With 2/3rd as many beam I got WIPED OUT by 17 strafers eating everything in their path.
The reason I have so many beams is to have the energy reserves to kill a strafer rush.
Note: NOT shortage of power. Just the beams running dry and not being able to be recharged fast enough to rescue themselves. This with 12/10 packet upgrades.
Example, just tested.
On the left rectangular island.
If I have only 2 rows (15) beamers, then JUST TWO strafers are capable of depleting the beams, and can start inflicting damage. In practise the left round island's PZ beams then take the last one out.
With the 4 rows of beams I have, I can stop 4, maybe 5 strafers.
The reason I populated the round islands with additional beams is simply because I repeatedly suffered casualties there. Not enoughto take out the island, but a squad of 4 strafers would reach the island and take out my relays there. Th 4 x PZ beams simply do no have enough stored energy to take out 4 strafers (they kill 2), then fire tempo drops drastically as the energy packets start drifting towards the beams for recharge.

A suggestion, going off previous recommendations you got from others on the forum...
You cannot survive this map if you permit the strafers to exist very long once spawned. The mass factories can be used to destroy them no matter their location. You need to use 2 mass drivers that you launch against the strafer base at nearly but not exactly the same time. This will destroy the strafer base. The trick is to manufacture mass drivers faster than strafer bases spawn. Your forge will help you to gradually improve your mass driver build rate. Hope that helps!

I... did not know that!
I've tried single mass driver, and they just ignored me. A double-tap? Ok!
Thank you for the advice.
I can handle the creep, mostly. Likely easy, if I can divert enough resources to that.
I can handle the spores *easily*. It was just those strafer bases that were killing me so badly.

Yeah, those strafer bases will consume tremendous amounts of energy from your beam defenses, so should be much easier with those mass drivers ;)
