That was fun, ended up creating an obscene amount of blobs and skimmers(separately, i released the legions in time to hammer at the defenses) But it was fun. Very fun  ;D my only issue is the completionist inside me wanted to destroy ALL units before leaving, and the airships were untouchable.... :'(

Definitely easier than the original, but I might argue it's too easy. I do however think the flood price was just right. I used them to assist in making creep at my unit making areas to help make them faster, but it was still just a mass build of special units to get anywhere.

I have to agree with this. But I do think Flood might just be a mechanic as well that may need to be entirely rethought. It's nearly the entire backbone of the maps (and if that's intended then that's okay too) and seems the one true forced thing in the easier mode vs the hard mode. Hard had just to me other forced things.

I also tried another air barrage (see screenshot, and that wasn't all of them hatched yet I just wanted to still have an fps or two to work with) at the end and even with half the thors... it led to no success.

So, seeing from this picture you haven't uncapped the second island's emitter. That's key, and once you do, it builds so much creep that moving into that location is loads easier. I suggest you build skimmers instead, they're fast and all you need is a good volley to shut down the nullifier and the creep will take care of the rest. Then you can proceed with the volley.

Ohh yeah I used the skimmers extensively in the end phases of both this map and the harder version. Mostly my point was to continue what I said in my other post on the previous map, where no matter the number of spores you send out it just... doesn't cut it to take the rift lab. The only thing I didn't try was to put flooders on the right side and fill that whole bit with spores too, but I'm just afraid for my PC at that point. Skimmers just work so much better (and need a nerf or spores need an indirect buff to somehow get past those thors SOMEHOW).

I think adding a build limit to the skimmers and beneficial for balancing. It was too easy to just lay down 10+ skimmers and watch them swarm the map disabling everything.
