Excellent map with a very challenging beginning. I had to restart about 5 or 6 times to get going. Well done!
Concur!
Darn thing spanked me and sent me to my room several times.
Fun stuff!

I'm enjoying it, but I can't figure out the efficiency to keep the creeper back in the start...
You can't survive if you let

the 777-strength emitters near your base live.
Strategy outline:
Spoiler
All strong emitters can be nullified from conveniently placed islands.
Note that the creeper will spill into space and over to the islands once it reaches a depth of 500.
You're on a timer there, but you do have a bit of a time buffer and don't have to micromanage.
Full recipe:
Spoiler
- Keep your energy in or near green, otherwise you'll run out of time. Reactors are your friend, and at a cost of 7, it's easy to ramp up energy production quickly.
- Nullify the emitter to the right of your starting island as soon as you can afford the energy.
- Once start getting enough energy, start building relays to the islands and nullify all strength-777 emitters. I don't know if Guppies will be faster, but relays are fast enough and you'll want the relay network anyway.
- The bottom-right two islands cannot be reached via relays, but you can reach it with a Guppy. Build that Guppy on one of the islands near the ore mines: Energy packets travel faster than Guppies, and you're a bit on a time constraint there. Don't worry if you miss it.
- Once you have those strength-777 emitters under control, it's time for cleanup. Nullify the weaker emitters. Clean the creep with mortars, then sprayers. Berthas on auto-aim duty on power zones will do wonders to quickly clean up accumulated creeper.
- The bottom-right island may have creeper spill. I used a bomber, cannons would work too, a single Bertha shot will clean that up as well. Guppy and a nullifier on the weaker emitter afterwards.
